September is National Senior Center Month and Healthy Aging Month, and here are some thrilling highlights in our upcoming programming:

• Celebrate Encore older adult centers with Fall for Encore 49 Day and the Golden Chef Cooking Championship Finals!
• Healthy Aging Month activities:   The ever-popular Brain Games with Caseworker Gabriela Robles;     The NYC Aging Healthy Aging Fair at Asphalt Green;     Wellness presentations on Enhanced Quality of Life and Medication Use for Older Adults;     Shopping trip to Trader Joe’s;     and Let’s Talk & Eat Apples with a recipe demo by GrowNYC!
• Let’s talk about Safer Sex for Older Adults with Planned Parenthood for National HIV/AIDS Awareness and Aging Awareness Day
• Labor Day Trivia, Word Search Competition, and Mindfulness Through the Senses
• Koffee with Kenneth & Friends, also featuring Director of Advocacy & Government Relations Marcus Jackson and CEO Jeremy Kaplan!
• Biscotti Making Class for National Biscotti Day
• Financial Wellness activities:  Financial Wellness Trivia with Caseworkers Jesse Denniston-Lee and Laura Rapp;     and learn about Scams Targeting Older Adults with the NYS DCWP
• We are kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month with a special Hispanic-American dance repertory show!
• Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body with the Alzheimer’s Association for World Alzheimer’s Month
