As a proud member of Encore’s Board, I believe leadership means rolling up your sleeves and showing up for the community we serve. That’s why I’m taking on my own Meal Delivery Challenge—bringing nourishing meals and friendly visits to homebound older New Yorkers.
This challenge is especially meaningful because I get to share it with my family. Together, we’re experiencing the joy of giving back, side by side, and seeing firsthand the difference a warm meal and a warm smile can make. Our goal is to raise $7,500 to support Encore’s vital meals program and deliver 500 meals.
Every delivery is a reminder of why Encore’s work matters. Our members greet us with gratitude, and those few moments at their doors—sharing a laugh, a story, or simply a hello—are as nourishing for us as the meals are for them.
